This series explores themes such faimly, culture and identity. Each piece captures a significant moment or feeling that connects with the viewers. Joy's skills is very strong, and her use of symbolism and vibrant colors enhances the emotional impact of her work.

Rita Yuwei Li

Spectacular skill of painting, both realism and surrealism. Exquisite domain of light, shadows and folds of fabric. Also very congruent in work "The unknown" which takes the concept of feeling lost and she changes her pictorial style of the first works, to this more illustrated aesthetic, as if she were losing herself from her usual painting, towards a style more explorative, uncertain and dark. She has enormous talent, and something to take care of, are certain proportions of perspective in surrealism, in the work "fountain of youth", the left ear of the headphones is larger than the other, and that painted in a figurative style, loses congruence and aesthetic power, and Joy has more than enough talent to adjust that type of details, and with it, enrich the impact of her works.

The artist has a very strong ability in realism and expressiveness, and the expressions and dynamics of the characters are very lifelike. Especially, the depiction of the plastic cloak and gloves in the first painting is amazing.
