作家略歴

I was born in Poland but grew up and received my high school diploma in Cologne, Germany. My passport is German.
I graduated in England, from the Manchester Metropolitan University with a BSc (Hons) SLT in 2002.
I live in Tokyo since 2014.
Since I came to Japan I learned about kirie and the cutting technique from Japanese kirie master Shu Kubo. I changed my profession to become a collage artist and have been making portrait collages for people since 2015.
In 2019 I presented my collages at the German School of Tokyo Yokohama during art lessons to teach students how to make portrait collages.
In 2020 I collaborated with kintsugi artist Ariko Anderson in Kyoto and used her work to make collages.
Since 2020 I have been making product placement collages in order to make commercial collages for magazines to promote products.

作画方法、画材など

I solely use paper cut outs to create collages.
I find paper cut outs in old magazines, brochures, flyers, recycled and vintage books.
All collages are cut by hand, none of my work is digital.
I use scissors and art scalpels to cut.
I use Japanese cardboard or wooden canvas as a background.

自己PR

I started in 2015 by inviting people for portrait collage sessions and it has been word of mouth since then. Clients contact me via email, Line or Whatsapp.
